A few years after returning from his Orthopedic Manual Therapy (OMT) residency program in Norway, Michael J. Moore, P.T. opened Folsom Physical Therapy (FPT) on November 1, 1983. Three months later, after completing his OMT residency, Tim McGonigle, P.T. joined FPT on February 3, 1984. Michael and Tim have now enjoyed over three decades of friendship and the pursuit of excellence in orthopedic physical therapy together under the umbrella of FPT.
As residency training in a specialty area of physical therapy is rare, the quality of patient care provided at Folsom Physical Therapy has always been a significant step above that provided in other settings and clinics. Due to FPT’s autonomous clinical setting, superior quality of patient care and educational mentoring programs, FPT has been a magnet for highly motivated and skilled clinicians over the decades.
Under Michael and Tim’s guidance, Folsom Physical Therapy has grown to become a key part of the Sacramento Area’s medical community. FPT is known for its exceptional one-on-one patient care, post-graduate physical therapy education program, personal commitment to assisting those with physical therapy needs and for the unique sense of community that emanates not only throughout the staff, but also from those participating in the exercise and wellness aspects of the practice. The atmosphere is professional, but also warm, encouraging and enthusiastic at the same time.
With the addition of our wellness, vestibular, woman’s health, TMJ, lymphatic, and pelvic floor programs, FPT can assist people with a host of physical therapy needs that will help push any patient toward a healthy life.
Michael, Tim and the FPT staff welcome those from the community who are willing to commit to improving their quality of life, tolerance for function and independence through guided and sustained follow-through with the care provided.
